MELINDA BARGREEN The Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra has named Jennifer McCausland as its new CEO, following a nationwide search. McCausland, a 20-year Seattleite born in Australia, is a former Seattle Symphony board member and the founder of Apollo Music Ventures, which promotes young musicians and presents them in innovative venues. McCausland also is the producer of an upcoming national conference, "Sounds of the Future: A Classical Music Summit," to be held Feb. 10 at Seattle University. It will feature coast-to-coast speakers and panelists, from Seattle's Gerard Schwarz to representatives of the San Francisco and Los Angeles symphonies and The New York Times. "It's very exciting to be invited to lead an organization gifted with an orchestra of enthusiastic and ambitious musicians, an engaged board of directors and a loyal and supportive subscriber base," said McCausland.
